Some in the militant conservative media have been saying that voters in the last presidential election voted for Barack Obama because of their guilt about past prejudices against african americans.

Having said that, I have no guilt about prejudices, never have, never was taught it. This election was not about black or white to me. I voted for an intelligent, visionary man with integrity. He happened
to be black.

I like being a liberal. Being a liberal has some good Christian qualities. I know who I am, I know what I stand for and I am proud of it.

I am tolerant, genorous, and empathetic, open-minded and believe that there can always be change for the better. I have never voted my pocketbook and will put a person before a dollar any day.

I believe in capitalism but do not understand greed. I don’t have to wrap myself in the flag to know I am a patriot. I know this world is not just about me.

I also realize what the conservatives think of me: “He’s against the war, therefore he doesn’t support our troops; he’s immoral, he doesn’t believe in God; he pinches babies, kicks puppies, hates apple pie;
he’s for health care reform, so he wants to kill old people.

“He is a commie-loving socialist. He wants to take your money and give it to those lazy no-good poor people.”

Some socialistic programs are Social Security, Medicare, the military, Rural Electric Administration, and farm/ranch subsidies. The hypocrites don’t mind accepting these socialist dollars.

Conservatives carry on about liberals bashing America; every time anyone questions any president, he is trashing America.

I associate your party ( unless you’re an independent ) with the ravings of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Jim DeMint, Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin. They promote hate and discourse more than anyone I know.

I also have to mention the loonies screaming at town hall health care meetings just to shut them down. Now that’s American! How pathetic.

I read you, Ann Coulter, on occasion. It’s always the same, presented a little different but still “spewing the same load of garbage.”

I’ve come to the conclusion that you all watch too much Fox news or you need to get out more often. Then again, perhaps you are just full of yourself!
